After many years of investment into her own education, Dr. Gold’s husband and partner, C. Adam Gold II, Esq. noticed that she was spending a lot of time communicating with doctoral students…checking on their progress, responding to emails, phone calls, and social media from those who sought her advice, reading drafts of theses and dissertations, and encouraging current masters students to take the doctoral plunge. At the urging of her husband and partner C. Adam Gold II, Dr. Gold launched her own business working with aspiring academic doctors. Gold Doctoral Consulting began to offer educational services in September 2011.
Dr. Gold acquired her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing and Computer Information Systems at James Madison University in 1999; a Master of Divinity with a self-directed focus on campus ministries from Eastern Mennonite University in 2005; and finally a Doctor of Education from The George Washington University in 2010. Dr. Gold was the Ralph O. Mueller Best Doctoral Research Paper Award winner in 2010 at the Educational Symposium for Research and Innovations. Dr. Gold’s time-to-completion for her doctoral curriculum, proposal defense, and final defense was 3 ½ years, which is half the time of the current national average. Dr. Gold was most recently honored in the 2011 – 2012 inaugural cohort of 40 UNDER 40 in Prince George’s County, Maryland.
